I replaced all four with Yokohama Advent Ascends. These have been completely trouble free for the last 15,000 miles (24,000 km). I have not measured, but I'd bet I still have 8 or 9/32 left on all four. I expect them to last at least another 30,000 miles (49,000 km).
which were heaps better, noticeably a level above the bridgestones, but did cost a bit more.
They are amazing, even in the pouring rain they grip just fine, and when warmed up they dont miss a beat
We also replaced with the Yokohamas and think the car rides better and is smoother at highway speeds.
Just my opinion. I run Yokohama tires on my pickup. 2nd set. Awesome! I pull 18wheeelers out of mud, drive on terrible lease roads and they holdup great.
Currently got Yokohama Geolandar GO15, its a solid A/T tire, pero not too aggressive yung looks nya. Comfort is top notch, parang d ako nagpalit ng wheels from the stock.
I just had a hard time finding 205/50/15 for my 1997 gti vr6. I ended up buying Nankang NS2 tires.
I have Yokohama geolanders with the semi-aggressive tread. Set at 36 psi, and I get about 20 mpg backroads and highway. Lower the psi and hit the trails if I need. Plus I like the white lettering....
I have the Ascend LX as my summer set but I couldn't quite find a direct comparison talking about the LX compared to the GT The LX's are supposed to have been rated for 85K, but they're already at 6/32s after 25K. Other than that I haven't had much of an issue with them
I found them to be pretty garbage for traction even on dry pavement, but they were quiet and smooth and lasted very well.
