Water pump AISIN or Hepu
Hepu is OEM, never had any issues with one.
It's quality components from GermanAutoParts. Hepu WP, Conti belt, and NTN tensioner pulley, damper, and idler pulley.
The two timing belts I've done the water pump have been that design.
It was a while ago, but I think I used a HEPU pump when I did mine.
Hepu--the bomb,99% reliability,MADE IN GERMANY.
Graf and Hepu make 12v metal impeller pumps, direct fit no mods.
Any replacement whether it br Graf or Hepu are going to have a metal impeller and be an exact factory replacement. The wheel itself will be identical in shape and circulate the same volume of coolant.
I ordered one from MJM Autohaus, a Hepu unit and its impeller is metal
My 1 year, \~6K miles Aisin WPT-108 pump failure story:
I have a 4A-FE Corolla E11. Changed timing belt, auxiliary belts, tensioner+spring, the whole lot last summer. The waterpump (Aisin WPT-108) was from a reputable online shop here in Europe (Autodoc). Last week I come to find the new pump dripping from the lower weep hole, so its the whole timing belt job all over again pretty much. No wierd bearing sounds. I did 6K miles last year if that.
This was a Hepu pump. With far less than 60k miles. I'm thinking the coolant had gotten too old. Can't figure why else the pump would wear so fast. Noise statrted after coolant change, am running an AC delete setup.
