Windshield OEM Subaru or OEM Honda
I have 14k miles on my 2023 and have no rock chips in the glass. Maybe I'm just lucky?
A couple of months ago I had a large tree branch fall as I was driving and land hard on my windshield. I was sure I was going to see cracking as the sound of the impact was incredibly loud. Nothing. Maybe it was because it fell lengthways across the entire windshield that the surface area absorbed the impact?
On her 2023 that needed a replacement after the first month? No aftermarket available so it'll be the second replacement again unfortunately.
I already have a crack in my windshield. Local Safelite quoted me $1200 (500 replace glass + 700 recalibration).
my wife's windshield cracked once and we got it replaced at Safelite. Then that windshield cracked (and is still cracked currently)
I have all my documents, including photos of the crack going straight across my windshield. Geico only covered $1,000 of my repair leaving me on the hook for the rest. Insurance needs to catch up with how expensive these repairs are!
I just saw mine has a crack this month. I had a similar one in 2023 replaced through insurance in Florida
I had a tiny rock hit the windshield which turned into a monster crack that should not have resulted, and so I'm convinced it was a manufacturing defect.
Had a subaru forester 2020 and had to replace the windshields twice and I believe at that time I paid almost 2500 in total before I upgraded to better insurance. I was always wondering how It kept breaking on me!
my 22 legacy has had one windshield repair and I have had to fill in 3 tiny cracks the past two years of owning.
