I have 14k miles on my 2023 and have no rock chips in the glass. Maybe I'm just lucky?

A couple of months ago I had a large tree branch fall as I was driving and land hard on my windshield. I was sure I was going to see cracking as the sound of the impact was incredibly loud. Nothing. Maybe it was because it fell lengthways across the entire windshield that the surface area absorbed the impact?

I needed a new windshield for my 2021 Crosstrek last year! Little Rock chip turned into a crack.

We had a '16 Forester XT and went through like 4 or 5 windshields in 7 years before we sold it. At one point we didn't even get the tape off the prior install and it broke again from highway rocks. It was ridiculous.
Cons: very poor durability, frequent breakage

Got a big crack right in back of the rear view mirror, between the EyeSight cameras.

Subaru glass is the worst I've ever had.
Cons: poor quality
Just a heads up on my 2020 Impreza I learned the OEM glass was not the best. I went through 2 OEM glass windshields. After that I said throw in 3rd party and after that it never broke again.
Cons: not durable, broke easily

I’ve replaced 5 windshields on my 2015 Forester ! It even looks at a rock and it cracks.
Cons: poor durability, cracks easily
