Windshield OEM Toyota or OEM KIA
KIA/Hyndai windshields are hot garbage. You should try to add glass coverage on your insurance. I have a $50 deductible on mine and safelite replaced it with an aftermarket windshield that won’t crack. Plus my HUD still works on my SX Prestige
My 2001 Toyota has one 5 year old chip, and another one from a year ago. I bought the filler stuff for it 5 years ago, but never actually used it because the chip simply has not grown whatsoever. It's not an issue.
The windshield on the 2020–2025 Kia Telluride features a distinctive design: the center portion at the top of the windshield is lowered, while the two upper corners are raised upward. This unique Telluride design somewhat compromises forward visibility inside the cabin, particularly for drivers with a higher seating position, where the effect becomes more pronounced. Moreover, this sharp-angled configuration is prone to stress concentration, which I suspect may be the reason behind reported cases of the windshield cracking spontaneously without apparent cause.
My 2025 Sx Prestige had it's windshield just replaced because of a rock. Chipped and splintered.. then went all the way across. Safelite says they are seeing a ton of 2025 vehicles for the same thing. 21 years of driving and this is my first windshield replacement. 4k miles on the van btw Our 2023 never had issues.
Mine got chipped within 2 weeks of having it.
This happened to me too with my 2025 EX.
We’ve had a 2025 Kia Carnival EX for a little more than 4 months and less than 4,000 miles. Twice in the past month we’ve had a rock from the highway flip up and crack the windshield. We hadn’t even had a chance to schedule the first small repair when this second (very large) crack happened.
I’ve got like 4 or 5 cracks, looks like I’ve been in a war zone. Every time I think about replacing it, another rock hits the windshield
I average a cracked windshield every 1.5 years at this point
Freaking windshield is a magnet for rocks on the street. Funny when I park by another 4Runner I keep looking for the vin# so far everyone I check have a replacement already
