Windshield Tesla or OEM Subaru
Just replaced the windshield on our brand new 2025. Took a rock a couple days after buying it. My insurance subs all glass claims to Safelite Solutions, but gave me the option to use whomever I wanted. Since the car was new, I wanted official Subaru glass on it, so I went with the dealer.
Had our 17 forester's windshield replaced and the eyesight recalibrate afterwards. Oem subaru windshield. They didn't tighten the rear view mirror back on though. Took a sec to do that myself.
I have 9800 miles on my 2025, I currently have 1 chip from a small rock that struck the windshield while doing 70 on I-95.
I had the windshield in my 2016 Outback replaced a few months ago at my Subaru dealer. It has now cracked down from the top middle center with no impact. It's a clean break. It's the OEM glass that sucks.
Their windshield/glass quality sucks. I had to get two replacement windshields as both had horrible distortion in the driver's field of view.
Subaru glass is fragile.
Our 2020 Outback just got a crack in the windshield.
I bought a '24 CT in December. Already has 2 cracks/chips. Never had an issue with chips like this with my Honda.
If you live in an area with rocks sprayed for traction at winter, dont bother (unless the crack impairs our vision). Subaru glass blows.
My 2025 forester windshield got cracked already with only 3000 miles on it.
