Wiper blades OEM Subaru or OEM Volkswagen
I just go to the Subaru dealership to get OEM blades. They're pretty good for the price !
I might be the only idiot who uses the dealer Subaru OEM blades. They are guaranteed for a year and I walk back in at month 11.5 and am usually able to get the dealership to warranty replace.
I’ve never had better blades in my 18 than the OEMs. Anything else need a clunky adapter, and none of them have worked as well.
The Subaru ones are the ones I’ve found to work the best. They last a good while and fit the windshield the best.
I’ve tried Bosch Icon and other models and brands and the best blades that work are the VW OEM, which cost the same as Bosch.
My forester’s OEMs lasted 7 years as well.
I have a 2017 Subaru Forester Touring, I use Subaru OEM or Bosch. I think both brands are very good wiper blades.
But to the guy who said OEM wipers aren't as good? Well, you're wrong. I've only had to put 3 total sets of wipers on this car in almost 5 years. They work through snow and ice and heavy rain. They are just good wipers and even cheaper than the fancy ones at Walmart.
I also lost the driver's side wiper at speed on the NJ Turnpike. The problem was a slightly bent (or misaligned) metal pin that holds the wiper blade to the arm. It was twisted slightly out of position and the wiper flew off, since the plastic cover no longer fit completely over the center of the blade. The solution was having my dealer twist the pin back into place.
I’ve had my car for 6 months. It’s loud on the return wipe, like it’s there is not enough water so it stutters. It happens regardless of how much water is on the glass. I had a MK7 and it was silent. Its happened since day 1, I’ll start by changing the blade and see if that is the issue.
