Id agree w/GINCH- the OE blades are really nice, albeit pricey perhaps vs the other brands. I get 8-12 months out of a set, no hassle fitment etc etc. Complain loudly enough about the price and my dealer will take 15% off MSRP, which is essentially a garage keepers discount.

Running Valeo's on my own car (A3). Was a bit hesitant as I've always run Bosch on my other cars but they have been performing very well, and would expect them to perform just as well on the Jetta.

The only other blade I would consider on par with or a slight upgrade would be the Valeos I got from Tire Rack.

I like my Valeo Gen2 wipers. They're about $20 a pair, and they've lasted over a year with no streaking at all, and they're super quiet.

I personally only use Valeo blades. They've always worked out well. I typically get 12-15 months out of them before they need to be replaced.

I have the Valeo (from Amazon when they had a bogo sale). They perform very well and are quiet.

I also lost the driver's side wiper at speed on the NJ Turnpike. The problem was a slightly bent (or misaligned) metal pin that holds the wiper blade to the arm. It was twisted slightly out of position and the wiper flew off, since the plastic cover no longer fit completely over the center of the blade. The solution was having my dealer twist the pin back into place.
Pros: dealer fixed the issue

I had Valeo Ultimate wipers on my truck and had them fail at after about 4 months.
