I'd buy a set of Girodisc rotors. They will last 10 times longer than crap audi rotors.
Reviews of spare parts for Audi
I've had both Sailun and Nexen (2010 Audi A4 Avant) and had no issues, even with Autobahn driving.
Akebono ceramic pads with OEM or Zimmerman rotors is an OEM+ solution. They produce almost 0 brake dust and maintain OEM feel and performance.
Whatever weight the owner's manual says it takes, I'd use that. You'll definitely want to go with a high quality oil though. I personally use Liqui-moly... I have 192,000 on my 2012 A6, and she's still purring right along, a lot of which in my opinion has to do with the higher end oil.
Put in a Sachs Xtend kit. I’m currently at 173k on my 13’ s5
EBC red stuff pads work great. Better stopping power than stock, way less dust, but I've always swapped rotors and pads at the same time.
A4 b8.5 with 175k on it, only problem I had was a seized brake caliper.
Have carried out preventative maintenance though, so check your timing belt/water pump. Replaced control arms on the front and brakes.
The rest is just regular service and oil change religiously at 6k miles
Im using yellowstuff on an rs5 b9 , installed it couple of weeks ago first impression is it has a better bite than OEM, but i think yellows won’t hold the car for more than 1hr of heavy street driving which is bad. But i have to test it further to verify this.
Just get stock NGKs, I’ve never had brisk plugs last for anything, and the fuel stratified cars don’t really suffer from spark blowout in the same way.
I've just got this issue in my Q8 in UK. I kept telling my service centre about the alternator but they said no recall. Going to give them an angry call tomorrow since car dead. Luckily have extended warranty, rac quote is \u00a33K!
