Stock 2018 with 68k. Mine has been solid and a blast to drive. Finally dealing with the water pump issue, but nothing until now.
Reviews of spare parts for Audi S5
Have a prestige trim 9.5 S5 and wear polarized sunglasses 99.9% of the time I get in the car and they\u2019ve never caused any issues with legibility for the HUD.
B8.5 S5 is the best Audi. Not too big, sleek, practical with the liftback tailgate. True quattro with a longitudinal engine and a torsen differential, and a very nice suspension and steering, though the shocks might use an upgrade if they haven't been replaced yet.
Been using continental viking contact 7, no issues. Obviously the new 8s would be even better.
I had Brembo pads and rotors put on my 2019 S5 coupe. I actually like them better than OEM parts they replaced.
I traded in my first car earlier this year
Subaru impreza > audi s5 supercharged. Best decision ive made. The only real problem other than maintenance was the waterpump and pcv which are known failures with this specific engine
The pump on my S5 just went out at 50k, almost exactly. $950 for parts and it's actually a pretty simple diy job.
Only have had to do the typical water pump/thermostat (and associated solenoid valves)/motor mounts/lower control arms/oil filter housing gasket.
Got a new brake set Zimmermann on my S5 and immediately got this look - the anti rust coating around the front rotor edges don’t want to come off. The rear ones are fine and have even wear. 1,5k miles later it’s still digging my eyes.
It was the water pump in my case, thankfully under warranty.
