OEM Hyundai CVT transmission

I have the 7spd dry-clutch DCT in one of my vehicles, a 2019 Elantra GT N-Line with over 62,000 miles. No issues. That includes driving in stop-and-go traffic regularly.

Pros: no issues, reliable in traffic

OEM Hyundai Oil filter

OEM Hyundai oil filters have a better anti-drainback valve than aftermarket filters, and they're cheap enough to use every time you change your oil. While I've used Mobil 1, Wix, and K&N oil filters on my other vehicles, my Elantra GT ONLY gets OEM filters. Personally, I wouldn't switch to aftermarket.

Pros: better anti-drainback valve, cheap
Cons: none mentioned

OEM Hyundai Crankshaft position sensor
sirfullt4dr
Rating 5.0
  • Hesitation:

Crankshaft position sensor. Replaced 2x on 2017, both times similar symptoms. The last time I also replaced cam sensors, coils and plugs (had just hit 100k). Did it all for roughly $125 and about an hour. Oil consumption is down, mileage is up and running much smoother.

Pros: running much smoother
Vehicle: Hyundai Elantra
Mileage: 160934 km

Cons: engine blowing
Vehicle: Hyundai Elantra
Mileage: 110000 km
