I left run flats and slapped on Continental ExtremeContact. They look great and ride amazing. Also I went wider and kept the thickness so it feels a lot more comfortable

Bridgestone Driveguards if you want RFTs. driveguards are near silent unless you're in dire need of suspension work
I have all weather tires by general tires. They work well. Main issue for my 2014 F56 is ground clearance.
For my SE in PNW:
~April until ~October: Stock 16” victory + stock hankooks. Great range and fine in spring/summer. No complaints until it gets cold.
~October until ~April: A second “refurbished” set of 16” victory spoke + nokian wr g4. Not enough winter for proper winter tires. They are great when it’s cold and wet, did fine in slushy melting soft ice. When the weather is nice these are way too noisy and reduced range is noticeable.
All weather tires are a thing now, they’re between a dedicated winter tire and all season. They tend to do just as well in the snow as a dedicated winter tire but not as well on ice, but still better than an all season. The best part is they’re meant to be run all year round and are incredible in the rain as well. They do tend to be a little noisier than an all season and have a bit of tread squirm which you can feel on turn in. I run them on my daily and as soon as I hit the brakes for the first time in the snow I was completely sold, never going back to all seasons again.
I live in the PNW, we don't get enough snow to warrant a whole set of tires (for me, anyways). I've been running the Continental dws06 Plus (and the prior non plus version) for years, they do exceptionally well in a couple inches of snow, even ice. I have cable chains for when it gets really bad.
Canada here; I run Michelin Pilot Alpin winters on my Clubman JCW, but only the one set of rims because steel wheels won’t fit over my larger brakes and I’m too cheap to buy another set of “proper” rims.
I run Pirelli Sottozero runflats every Winter, mostly highway driving, very happy with them.
I have etc red and they work, but I used Zimmerman rotors and never again. Don't go cheap
I had the same issue with my N18 engined Countryman S. Turned out the timing chain guides had started to disintegrate and plastic pieces floating around and stopping the oil flow into the oil pump. Car had new timing chain kit and new oil pump
