I did it myself with Bilstein 5100s, cost about $700 and gave my truck a 2.5” lift. Looks awesome.
Reviews of spare parts for Toyota 4runner
I've had a Koyorad in my 97 for 5 years now and it's been great.
I have a 2019 4Runner with Toyo OC AT3s. I have 50k on them and need to get them replaced before snow starts to fall. So far I have been pretty happy with them, road noise isnt too bad as long as the road surface is in good shape, they are a bit firm from a comfort level, MPG is still around 19-20, so no complaints there. The main thing that has me looking is I did loose lateral traction a couple times in packed snow/ice and I can never get out of my incline driveway in 2wd when its snowy.
I put bilstein 4600s on. Theyre good relatively inexpensive shocks.
I had this done on mine recently too, I'm very happy with the results. I didn't have any odd vibrations, but there was just too much play in the system. One of the bushings was so worn it was causing a metal-on-metal clank feel through the steering when hitting any bumps off-road.
Have had a pair or doorman's for the last 20k and there still kicking.
just went to autozone and forked out for the K&N, and holy shit it was worth it. Like night and day on the airflow. I can actually feel it on my face now, lol.
I’ve had KO2s on my 2023 4Runner for the last 2 years. Pretty good off road and on dry pavement but can be downright scary on rainy days on road. If you live somewhere that doesn’t have a long rainy season then they are fine. But not good for rainy days around town.
I just had my 7th windshield put in last month on my 2019.
I have never had replace a windshield in any my 8 other cars in my 21 years of driving, and my last car was even a wrangler. I have had 4 cracks in my 4R, replaced it twice, and is currently cracked again, in 3 years!! I love this car but Toyota effed up on the windshields.
