the hot ticket was to replace the stock horn with a VW bug horn. They're only a little larger, require no other modifications, and are noticeably louder and "brighter."

Why a solid rib down the center?
These are vintage VW beetle size, 15 inch rim 4.5 inch wide. FWIW they have good reviews on the seller's website
I just replaced my AC Compressor on my VW Beetle with a Nissens from RockAuto. I also had the Dryer and Expansion Valve replaced, it works perfect now.
I mean, my 68 bug was drove everyday for 10 years, parked for 20 then put in a new carb and is driving like a champ.
The Nexens on my 70’ Beetle work great. No need to pay more.
I replaced the spark plugs, ignition coil plugs, alternator and checked the tensioner.
I had been using LM in our Euro vehicles for years until prices started to climb. I switched to the appropriate Mobil 1 oil earlier this year. There is not enough difference in test results to make me stay with LM once the price difference became as big as it was during my last TDI oil change.
Although Valeo states it's a Tier1 oem part supplier, it does say on the fpc site that it's made in china.
greetings 72 bug with rarely used new bosch starter/solenoid(play car not daily drive) walmart battery just went out of warranty and battery tester shows about 76% health. turn the key and i get clunk from starter. after about 15 clunks it will fire up. if i top off battery with charger it will fire up every time. about hour later it is back to clunk clunk clunk, vroom. digital cig socket voltmeter shows mostly about 14v down the road depending on speed. 'smart charger' says cell fault but battery checker says recharge. new battery needed?
1969 Volkswagen Beetle. Three speed automatic stick shift. When you moved the floor mounted stick it magically released the clutch (electrically?) . You shifted and released the shifter. Take an underpowered car and take a gear away. It was a dog.
