I have a 2018 A7 and I had to replace the water pump (which apparently is pretty standard). The dealership charged me $1450 in an affluent Philly suburb for what that\u2019s worth.

Audi made it right by making the oem water pump replacement aluminum, not plastic smh.

I bought a 2017 S3 with 40k kms, best car I’ve owned so far, had to replace the water pump but I swear the OEM one is made of cardboard. No more expensive than any other car to service.

Got my water pump, PCV, and thermostat replaced a few months ago. Did it myself. If you're semi-handy I'd definitely recommend doing it yourself. My wallet was definitely happy I did haha

Waterpump and thermostat are common issue with Audi. I had a 2017 S3 and had it replaced around 65K miles, and now my 2019 S5 was replaced under warranty at approx 38/39k miles. The mechanic mentioned something along the lines, its made out of plastic.

My waterpump developed a crack 3 weeks ago and I started to leak coolant. Car had 20,000km on it. Had it all replaced under warranty. Was open about the mods on the car as well and dealership didn't give me any issues.
