My shocks were a bit baggy after 90k miles so I took the opportunity to upgrade to Bilstein B6 shocks. Handling and braking was vastly improved.

In terms of the shocks themselves - Bilstein seem to have a solid reputation except for one former Bilstein fan on Youtube who had multiple failures in fairly quick succession a few years ago. I'm hoping their QA just took a hit for a while and the quality issues have been resolved, what's everyone else's experience of the longevity of these shocks? I doubt they'll hold up as incredibly well as the OEs have but I'd expect five years from them.
Also picked up some (seemingly brand new) 2023 OR Bilstein takeoffs for $150 yesterday I'll throw on it this weekend.
Do you like the bilsteins? I plan on getting some soon (have to buy my house first) but the BC's the car came on are clapped and I'm sick of the harsh ride and I want bilstiens.
The part number of this absorber is 68533962AB. It has BILSTEIN sticker on it. So I tried to find wiring replacement by BILSTEIN themselves but failed.
Suspension kit: lowering, Bilstein shock absorbers, negative camber on all wheels
I tecconend Bilstien Sport (Blue and Yellow)..they are amazing from my experience…
Noooo! Bilstein B8 and H&R lowerings 🙏🙏
I have hr and bilstein. Makes a big difference but is stiffer. If I can do it again I would go with hr and koni adjustable, I hear it's not as stiff.
I have B4 on my 1994 convertible and am happy with them. they ride like stock on turbo convertibles, maybe a bit better.
