Bosch components made in the EU (this is the important part) are in many cases the items that VW installed on the car in the plant, or better. Take the spark plugs for example, Bosch just prints the VW name on it and VW installs it in the engine.

I have just replaced the oil and all 6 spark plugs with Bosch Double iridium.
I recently just replaced my spark plugs they were past due. So I bought the OE Bosch 9683. The engine runs fine, starts easy, no misfiring, no rough running. But after the plug change I am getting much worse millage.
Also, some engines get particular about plugs. Bosch has a bad rep for the 3400 engine in my Grand Am, while NGK and AC Delco(I've got NGK Iridium IXs in there now) are fine.
Took original plugs out at 50K miles. Not awful but electrode partially rounded with increased gaps. Stock plugs are Bosch and apparently copper core, so I replaced with same. Recommended gap is 0.043'' Added anti-sieze to threads for easier removal next time.
I’ve heard bad things from mechanics about Bosch, specifically Bosch platinum.
the plugs are brand new Bosch Double Platinum.... so then I went out, put them back in and was still a biotch to start....
As for the spark plugs, both Bosch Iridium and NGK Laser Iridiums are fine, arguably even better than OEM (which are made by Denso, btw).
They're both fine brands, I doubt you'll notice a difference. NGK is most likely OEM for your Civic, but it's not like Bosch is bad, they're OEM in my BMW.
I did not have good experiences with Bosch on another vehicle.
