My 2018 Civic is Hitachi.
Reviews of HITACHI parts For Business

My 2008 3.6 Passat had been throwing CELs for fuel pressure off and on for a while. Then last week the N276 (Fuel Pressure Regulator valve in the High Pressure Fuel Pump) revealed itself as the source of the problem by failing completely. I got tons of misfires and surging on cold starts since the pressure in the fuel rail wasn't being regulated and maintained properly. Otherwise the job was pretty straightforward. I got a Hitachi HPP0014 from RockAuto as a replacement HPFP (original was a Hitachi as well). The plug for the N276 had a little gas in it, confirming that the N276 had failed internally at 15 years/125,000mi.
I changed all 6 coils on mine for those last year and they've worked without any issues.
I just done the works for my engine. I prefer make 1.8 to 2.0 and same time use some good racing parts 1,u need s3/7r crank shaft, bearing is 48mm,then u don\u2019t need change block,2,144mm Rods I use forged from maxracing,.3 oem 2.0 pistons but I use forged piston, depending how high boost u want later 4,oem 2.0 injectors 5,hitachi hi press fuel pump.thats the all parts can make ur engine just strong like s3 or even better
I also ordered four (4) new ignition coils from Hitachi, installed them 60 miles ago and it's been smooth since the installation. My car is quieter, more responsive, and idles better. No, check engine lights at all.
I ordered an alternator with code 07C903021N (Hitachi LR1190-907E) and I hope it is the right one, because there are many versions and the all look the same, except for the position of the B+ post and the DFM terminal connector with respect to the orientation of the cooling tubes.
My alternator is neither a Bosch or a Reman. It was bought new and its Hitachi in brand. Came with lifetime warranty.
Did this conversion on my 2001 Audi A4 with a standalone. I ran it with stock (3ms) dwell and up to 5ms dwell and didnt notice any difference. I was running Hitatchi coils before and would notice slight bumps in idle. Now all I hear is smooth butter at idle.
The old AWD hitachi coils are far more reliable in my experience. I would not change to the awp style from the bolt downs. I have had ~8 failed AWP coils over the years on my 2001 audi/2002 gti and I have 8 hitachis now in my 2 1.8t's for a few years now and no hitachi failures. This is with track days on the gti. They also bolt down so you won't have them popping up on you whack a mole style like the awp ones sometimes do
Car always kills them. I was the most surprised when it killed the Hitachi coils.
