I have a 2018 mazda3 hatchback. It's hit two deer and still going. No issues with regular maintenance. Water pump went out around 100k miles, mechanic said that's normal. Love this car, probably will get a cx5 as a secondary car.
I did this on my Mazda CX9 (same design), also failed around 90k miles.
