I bought a 330i from a buddy for my daughter and I did all his work. Did Meyle bushings for him 3yrs and 4k miles ago. They are already like exhibit 1 again.
Reviews of MEYLE bushings
It\u2019s the rear bushings that are worn / shot. Buy the Meyle rear refresh kit from FCP euro. They have videos on the change out. I would do the front control arms (4) also with Meyle HD arms. You\u2019ll be better than new with that change I was shocked it handled better than when it was new.
I use meyle for bushings and nothing else. Most of the posts recommending them are old and before they made everything in china
one bushing has better design from Meyle HD.
The Meyle HD's are a nice upgrade, since they would be less prone to tearing unlike the standard bushings... you don't feel too much difference in the steering though.
I am going to have to replace every control arm, toe arm, trailing arm bushing or complete arm again because I bought cheap meyle stuff and the car feels like it wobbles from the bushings being too soft.
So far the suspension seems tighter and quieter so I am happy.
As far as brand preference goes, I would go with Meyle or Lemforder over the other brands. It's not that the metal portion is going to give you any issues, but the bushings from those brands are going to hold up better than others.
Changing these for the Meyle HD or TTRS bushings makes a huge difference in the steering feel of these cars.
I did some research on Meyle and they have very bad reviews.
