I got Michelin Cross Climate 2. I expected them to be so so compared to the Pilot 4 Summer I had on, but I’ve been really pleasantly surprised. They’re a bit softer (not always a bad thing) and they make me feel so much more confident and safe in cold weather.

We went from a continental "contact" tire which was supposed to be highly rated to the crossclimates. This is on a van. The cross climates are quiet and have a much better ride quality. I haven't driven them in snow yet, but the tread appearance gives me confidence. We also have similar MPG, meaning we haven't given up mileage, and it may have improved. I'm anticipating getting them for my car soon.
I bought some nice tires for my wifes car. The set of 4 and the install was about $1500
I put a set on my Avalon. I thought they were great. Definitely dinged my gas mileage. They plowed thru standing water with ease. The wheel didn’t jerk and the car stayed true. Good in snow as well.
+1 Cross Climate 2. they're great in wet, snow, ice, and ...everything. Not just snow. Really grippy for the type of mixed-sleet, icy roads we get around virginia.
Cross climates all the way. They’re also excellent in rain.
Vote for Cross Climate (2). I switched to them from Michelin Pilot Sports and they have served us much better. They've aged well and we've gotten nearly 60k miles on them. They are far more confident in the snow than any other all season tire we've had.
Michelin from Costco is a good for the money set.
lol, yes. my car is fwd, i bought some brand new michelin ice x's for this winter and even though i'm having a slightly better time i still dread red lights, stop signs, yields, you name it. i do all the tips and tricks you can name as well.
No. I live in Michigan and was severely disappointed with the Michelin CC2. The packed-snow braking, and lateral grip leave a LOT to be desired. In our neighborhood with packed snow the car just slid… And slid… and kept sliding. Even my wife exclaimed “aren’t these new tires” lol. The packed-snow and Ice traction is no different than a basic all-season tire. The only thing these tires excelled at is deep-puddles and rain, they really shed water fast.
