I blew my stock one around 60,000km, then the STI replacement around 100,000km. Fixed the issue with a Mishimoto aluminum rad.

I've been running a Mishimoto in the racecar for 3 years now with 0 issues and their lifetime warranty including damage during use is hard to beat.
Car came with a mishimoto radiator with the shroud and fans. The car handles Texas heat pretty well during autox events.
I highly recommend Mishimoto, I've had it on mine for a couple years, never overheated or issues with anything. Plus great warranty!
i bought a mishimoto. Everything's fine, adequate stock replacement with a stock fitment.
I bought the Mishimoto one about 20k miles ago and have had zero issues with overheating or leakage.
With that taken care of reliability concerns would be pretty minimal and the core itself should be an improvement. I even confirmed with Mishimoto, in writing, that modifying the quick connects would NOT void my lifetime warranty with them.
I got a bad mishimoto thermostat with similar results.
I had a mishimoto rad cap that completely screwed up my coolant system.
2012 Golf R (FSI) and just recently had a Mishimoto radiator installed. Car behaves normally on the road but the first track event after having it installed it got very warm (about halfway between normal and red zone on factory gauge) and actually spit out some coolant under the hood I found once back in the paddock. Shop has checked everything out, re-bled the system and found no air but does start to get hot under sustained boost. Funny thing is I track the car heavily and never had this issue on the OEM radiator, also the water pump was recently changed with timing service and has less than 1000 miles on it.
