I always use mobil 1 and a mobil 1 filter. The owners manual only recommends it.

Now the easiest one to find that meets my manual requirements is the Mobil 1 euro formula that’s the cool green color. The back of the bottle specifically states it meets VW specs.
Mobil1 0w20 and a Mobil1 Filter every 5k
If I was spending my own money I would buy Mobil 1.
I've always put Mobil1 0-W40 European car oil in my 2015 jetta since the day I bought it brand new but did notice they came out with a new 0-W30 oil but not sure if that's for the new jettas or not.
I do all my own work and the oil changes are either 10k miles or yearly, usually yearly. I'm not too concerned about the exact date but basically every spring the cars get an oil change, air filter and cabin air filter.
Not going to lie. I use Walmart auto for my oil changes. If you synthetic premium you can pick your own oil, I use Mobil one.
Mobil 1 full synthetic and Mobil 1 filter. I did cams recently on my GT and at 150k, the top end looks almost new.
I used mobile one 0w40 but burned oil so I filled it up again idk might be cause of the heat or of course the motor which would be normal, but I usually aim at chaning the oil every 8k or half miles on my 2.0t TFSI engine and now I'm using 5w40 motul for my up coming oil change
the bypass valve on the Mobil filter is too low for our engines ~ 15 psi. Mahle/Mann is at ~27 psi. In certain situations, even normal situations, the mobil filter isn't filtering at all
