I just bought a Nissens condenser (very good quality) from rockauto and had it installed for under $500 with a charge. 13 grand Cherokee. The dryer was built into it, I think a lot of jeeps are this way now.
Reviews of Nissens parts For Business
Denmark
me and some E39 buds here in the Netherlands have great experience with nissens. It's a pretty good package all around and had a copper core instead of alu.
I had an early failure of a Nissens and have switched to a cheap all aluminum unit, which is working well for me.
I use nissens brand rad (Danish manufacturer) and so far so good.
I recently replaced the radiator on my MK1 TT. After getting the old, leaky radiator out of the car, I compared it with the new one and was surprised at just how different the core designs were!
I went with the nissens heater core as opposed to OEM. The veins on the heater core are definitely bigger which may help prevent future clogs as well. Of course it's a snug fit for it as opposed to the OEM that slides in like butter. I tried blowing air through the clogged heater core and it was like breathing through a straw. The new one is wide open.
I ordered the Nissen Radiator from Rock Auto for around $70 including shipping and ill go from there im planning on fixing it this weekend so ill keep updating
Nissen is a quality brand. They’re designed that way to produce optimum heat. I think it’ll be a long time before you have to deal with clogging again.
I imagine, if done right it could be stronger than original. But unless it's a really good radiator, I'd replace it with one of those $70 nissens.
I recently bought a brand new AC system for my 2005 Iveco Daily - new hoses, condenser, compressor, dryer, etc. and had it installed and regassed by my mechanic. The AC worked for a while but then stopped working. Turns out one of the hoses had a leak, so bought a replacement for that. I still used the car for a couple of weeks before I was able to get the new part delivered. During that time I found that the new AC belt had fully disintegrated. When I got back to the mechanic they found that the new AC Compressor has seized! Compressor is a Nissens 89329.
