the brakes are way better and more responsive than our old Nissan.

the subarus brakes feel and stop great, but can get pretty hot in spirited street driving.
I had a dark blue 1997 2.5GT five-speed sedan for a few years. I really liked that car a lot. Not fast per se but it handled well, was comfortable, and looked great.
Subaru 15208aa170 oil filters and mobil1 5w30 EP oil. 6000 mile oci backed up by oil analysis.
Now their Subaru coolant is in fact different ..... It has a head gasket "helper" in it . not that its saved my head gaskets... lol
Our 2019 Forester is the only car I’ve driven since 1967 that’s had a chip in the windscreen develop into an 18”
Long crack over a couple of hours of driving at 65mph. Had 5 different pre-eyesight models the have done similar country running over many years and no issues like that ever occurred. Seems like an eyesight issue to me.
Ive owned my 25 Forester Wilderness 1 month now. 1 week in passing vehicle kicks up a tiny rock and I get my first rock chip. Then a week later merging on highway I get 2 more little ones on lower left of windshield.
Two days into owning my 2025 my wife noticed a small crack on the INSIDE of my new Forester. Fast forward two months I take the car on my first longer road trip. First day of the trip I catch a rock to the middle of the windshield and have a pretty bad chip.
I currently have a chip in my 25 forester, chipped at ~8k miles. Been waiting for the OEM windshield for a little over a month now and will be about another month before it’s estimated to arrive at the shop. Frustrating process
My original windshield had to be replaced and I got third party glass and even that one chipped right away. Other vehicles I’ve owned and driven on the same roads never have any issues so far.
