Since that 5/2023 bulletin refers to Valvoline as formulating the latest version of G12Evo, and Valvoline/Zerex HT-12 says on the bottle that it is for G12Evo applications as well as referencing VW TL 774-L, it should be okay to use HT-12 in our coolant systems.
Valvoline full synthetic with max life was the best oil I tested based on blackstone results.
I'll use my Valvoline happily.
Diffs and transfer case are synthetic Valvoline.
I was skeptical of this oil until I saw some actual results and a few oil analysis. Whatever this special carbon eating molecular structure they have come up with works and isn't damaging to parts. I'm at about 29K miles and just put this oil on the VB.
Valvoline VR 1 straight 40
Change the oil and filter then I use valvoline vr1 10w30. Remember vw engines rely on oil flow, not heavy viscosity.
Both times I used valvoline universal cvt, ymmv yall but the fluid I drained was still very clear green and looked very nearly new, with very little browning and darkening, at 70k.
I use Valvoline's Zerex Asian Blue prediluted, it works just as well.
Valvoline MaxLife 10W40. Made specifically for older engines with high mileage.
