Zimmerman rotors and Akebono ceramic pads. Great combo and affordable. Low dust.

I was recommended Zimmerman Rotors for my 550i by a bmw shop and I've really liked them so far. I've had them on for the past 4 yrs and never had an issue. I bought some autozone rotors once before that warped and rusted super quick.
Rear Rotors (Zimmerman) and Pads (Jurid) with break Sensor
I installed some new brakes and after looking at all the options I went with FCP’s bundle of Zimmerman drilled rotors and EBC red pads. I’m normally not a fan of drilled as my first set of drilled rotors back in 1996 warped and since then I’ve gone with just slotted. Since the mass is so great on the 345mm rotors I felt there would be enough mass to stay true/straight. FCP’s lifetime warranty helped seal the deal on these brakes.
I have been using ATE pads and zimmerman coated rotors. last time they were replaced i bedded them in with a few hard stops from 60mph.
I'm running their sport pads with Zimmerman cross drilled rotors. The Zimmerman rotors are significantly cheaper for the same consumable. Very happy with my setup and I would repeat it in the future
Be aware, the dimples and slots make for more noise so don’t expect them to be identical to the blank rotors in that regard.
I've used Zimmerman + ATE combos on my ... for daily use. They are totally fine. Good stuff. Couple weeks ago I wanted to try something different on the R so I got stoptech slotted and EBC red. They feel good so far. Hopefully low dust.
Zimmerman rotors and Akebono pads pair up nicely, all from FCP euro
I put about 4k miles on the Zimmerman front rotors + Hawks HPS 5.0 so far. There is still a little squealing coming from the setup. Very small. Pretty sure the pads are the reason. Not the rotors. Lots of people are using thre Zimm rotors here in Quebec Canada. And noise isssue isn't something that comes in the reviews.
