The brake disc was really cool

brembo, zimmermann and ebc would be my choices. Do not get drilled rotors. Holes are weak spots and crack easily.
I\u2019m buying a set of Powerstop coated rotors and Akebono pads for my accord to put on in the spring.
One of those checks will be a minimum thickness on discs and pads. Given you've only done just over 1000 miles in the vehicle since purchase, it would seem to me that the minimum thickness on the discs when the vehicle was sold to you was at or below that required as part of the pre-sale check.
I got a full set of OEM+ discs and pads fitted last month for \u00a31400. you shouldn't get charged much more. that's if they even need replacing in the first place.
Just got the front brake upgrade. Calipers, Powerstop Z23 rotors and pads. Runs smooth now.
I have them on my Mazda 2....it goes and stops as you'd expect.
But I had this issue with my Audi A3. Audi dealer said "You need to use your brakes more." I have put a lot of rotors and pads on cars since they changed the rule.
I have moved over to power stop as well. I've had problems with the Raybestos E3.
That's likely the lowest possible grade of rotors I've seen in a while. Lathe marks are too rough, and the casting is bad.
