I've had a bunch of stoptech sports on backroads and they have been good to go every single pair. Dust like crazy but they have good stopping power and hold on to their bite even when they start getting hot. You won't be setting any world records with them but for double duty they have served well.

I have Hawk HPS pads and they work great on the street and produce way less dust than stock pads.

I am running the Racingline pads front and rear on my 18R. I DD my car and track it in the winter on an ice track. I am happy with these pads. They work really well when on the street and they definitely work on the track. (Im hitting between 80-100km/h and slowing down to make my corners). They have been on my car for 3 winters and 3 summers so far. I cant for sure say how they will be on a hot day on a track but I have had them really really hot and there has been no fade.

I run StopTech Sport pads and they’ve been fine. Pretty quiet but also pretty dusty (comparable to stock pads). No full track days in hot weather yet though, just autocross and cooking them on backroads.

I’m on 108000kms in my 2017 GLI and it runs like the day I bought it. I do the maintenance on time when needed and it is trouble free. So far all I’ve had to do is the brakes.

You also absolutely can not go wrong with Akebono, that is also top quality stuff.

I started with akebono pads and rotors after my OE set wore out and they were okay. After them I bought the power stop setup and they weren’t worth it in my opinion they warped a little bit.

I purchased Zimmerman pads and rotors from FCP. FCP is fine but the Zimmerman brakes squeal like a bitch.
