Akebono proact brake pads paired with centric rotors. I like the centric premium rotors since they are painted on the edges and the hub mating surface. If those are too expensive then I'd go with centric c-tek rotors.
Owner reviews for brake pads
Akebono pads are usually excellent on hondas (I think they are oem?) As far as rotors, WBR and zimmerman are great. For an economy option you could try carquest pads/rotors. No matter which you go with, make sure to break them in properly because even the best pads/rotors will pulse if improperly broken in.
Ceramic pads Bosch Quietcast BC1047 or Wagner OEX for longevity, cleaner wheels and reduced stopping distance when warmed up.
Running akebono here. Quiet, good for street use, and noticeably less dust compared to oem
I use Hawk 5.0 street pads and they’re way more affordable than OEM and produce less brake dust
Today I just installed Akebono ProACT (ceramic) in the rear. Very very happy with them. Stopping is still very good, they’re dead silent and dusting should be a ton less.
I put a set of these on the front and back of my Audi, and I loved the performance and the added feeling of control and safety when using them.
I was quoted 1200 to change my brake pads on my ND. Did it myself of course but it was funny to find out what the dealership wanted.
I have Ferodo DS2500 pads on my 987 Cayman. They are a good pad for street/track duty and it seems they come recommended on the forums. Just remember a dual purpose pads are okay for street and track, but not great in either.
my 08 Accord went through rear pads every 18-20K miles. They were way too soft.
