Keep the Webers, sound fantastic but they do need a bit of studying as to how they work and what does what and the best jet combo. Forget off the shelf jet set up guides, never worked for me.

The carburetor leaks some fuel into the intake, I'm assuming something is leaking or adjusted wrong and it floods the engine. If it's been sitting for a week or longer it starts instantly, also starts very well soon after driving while it's still warm.

Nope. Used to own one. Mahilig ako noon sa old model, had cb400 and a vfr400 nc30. What i can say is mahal ang maintenance nyan kumpara sa mas modelo. Carb clean and synchro every 6 months is 3k plus change oil and filter. Tapos may bigla nlng masisira due to age.

My only new car was an 86 Mustang. It was history by 1994 or so and I'd already replaced the transmission and rebuilt the carburetor. Cars broke down much more often, didn't last as long, rusted out, and ran the risk of being lemons.
