I have a plug for Liquimoly so I run that year round.
I replaced the plugs, oil/filter and air filter with oem parts when I got it. I’ve been changing the oil at 5k intervals with the recommended Castrol 0w-20.
Doesn’t hurt so why not. I feel like that’s the main answer and what pushes me to do it.
I bought a new limited, last week. I did my first oil change yesterday and the amount of shit in it was crazy. Definitely do it.
It doesnt hurt to shorten the oil changes .My colorado is 7500 miles .I do it at 5000 miles. They say highway miles are easier your not doing stops and starts .However your still doing revolutions and run time.
I'm running 0w30 from liquid molly and im tuned on e85. I live in Boston so cold 20f mornings ???? I have the red sport with the oil cooler and the f$cking oil just won't get hot enough and stays at 165 to 170 and good enough to do pulls but not up to temp so 0w30 protects more in cold starts and it's not hot enough to cook so perfect. I do switch to 5w30 in summer.
That’s why I use MOTUL
Got my oil changed about a week again (LiquiMoly 5w40) and now I’m getting this warning saying my oil level is too high.
Amsoil is overpriced and underperforms. I’ve bought $1000s of dollars of their race oils and have slowly realized all are near the worst on market, always the worst for the coin.
