MOTUL Engine oil

I use Motul 8100 EcoLite in mine. Paired with the appropriate Motul fluids in the trans and diff, and RBF660 in the brake lines.

Pros: appropriate fluids, good performance

AMSOIL Engine oil

Yesterday I took my car in for an oil change and got amsoil. I read countless comments of people hating on the price, this and that, but let me tell you somthing, that amsoil ain't a gimmick or a rip off. My car drove sooooo much better afterwards, it kinda shocked me. Smoother, seems faster, more. Consistent shifts, just left me feeling like she felt the best version of herself.

Pros: smoother, faster, consistent shifts
Vehicle: Acura TLX

LIQUI MOLY Engine oil

Liqui Moly 5w40, MB 229.5. Only that one, even though it is PITA to find in Finland.

Local Merceses dealer put Shell and I don’t really have good experience with Shell before so only Liqui Moly for my car.

Cons: hard to find

LIQUI MOLY Engine oil

The 2.0 liter gas/petrol engine is the weak link here, due mainly to poor piston ring design. We are third owners of a '14 A4 6MT, purchased in mid '17 with 48K miles. We're at 98K miles now, and with 5K engine oil changes using Liqui Moly or Elf/Total fully synthetic, we use a small nominal amount of engine oil between changes.

Pros: small nominal oil usage
Cons: poor piston ring design
Vehicle: Audi A4
Mileage: 98000 km

Stay away from the XD3 oil. I ran it for 30K on a rebuilt motor and experience extremely high bearing wear. I ended up with low oil pressure.

Cons: high bearing wear, low pressure
Mileage: 30000 km
