RAVENOL Gear oil

I’ve used bg synchroshift II and ravenol mtf-2. Both are great, honestly couldn’t tell much difference between them. I want to say I lean toward ravenol but the difference is minimal go with either one.

Pros: great performance
Cons: minimal difference

RED LINE Gear oil

Redline gear oil tends to leave a thin film at all times slightly better than motul but does have a slightly longer warm up period.

Pros: better than motul
Cons: longer warm up period

Wolf Gear oil

I am anal about this still so I would do it during the first oil change at 300 miles, and every 2 or 3 thousand after. Use good 75w90 full synthetic oil and DO NOT overfill the box. These gearboxes often live their lives with the oil that came in them and still outlive the rest of the scooter. But putting some good oil in there right away will get the break-in metal out, and some overkill spec oil in.

Pros: good oil, break-in metal out
Cons: DO NOT overfill
Mileage: 300 km

AMSOIL Gear oil

I use Amsoil on my tundra. Except for the engine oil, i use mobil just because I changed my oil every 3000 miles, and i dont tow a lot, so I'm not reving my tundra as much . It is extremely expensive. I think I spend around 400.00 for the transmission, rear diff, transfer case, etc....But I did a lot of research on them, and they are worth the money.

Pros: worth the money
Cons: extremely expensive
Vehicle: Toyota Tundra
Mileage: 3000 km

AMSOIL Gear oil

I just did mine today. Used VW haldex fluid for the AWD haldex, and Amsoil SevereGear 75W90 in both the front and rear bevel boxes.

Pros: used quality fluids
Vehicle: Volkswagen Tiguan
