I’ve been running NGK Ruthenium for a year now with 0 problems. Supposedly they last longer and are more stable with less dispersion according to NGK. Going to stick with them instead of Iridium or Platinum.
Owner reviews for spark plug
I have ngk spark plugs and I went with z1 high ignition coils
if you don't want to pay for VW boxes, NGK ruethiums are a killer deal on rock auto, I've run 2 sets through out alltrack without a hiccup, about 60K total.
I couldn’t use any other spark plugs I had to use those or my car would run like crap.
I would recommend that if you get one do a full service fluid change on everything. Change the coolant, the trans fluid, diff fluid, oil (10w30 or 10w40, do NOT use the 5w20 reccomended). You'll also want to set aside $80-90 for new spark plugs, and upgrade the coil packs to LS coils from Bennet Built whenever you can. Coils need to be replaced about every 30k miles.
In my 2012 with the 2.5L engine, I replaced my spark plugs with Bosch Iridium (#96302), around 90K miles. It's been great since.
I changed
- 4 new NGK Iridium sparkplugs
Maybe take out 1 or 2 plugs to look whats in it? Normally its NGK or Bosch.
Not saying the auto lite won't work, but you're definitely not going to get 70k out of them.
That auto lite is no goood
