I would suggest a failsafe thermostat from Motorad and an OEM Motorcraft seal.

I had an older Camry that wouldn\u2019t get up to operating temperature unless actively being driven, turned out to be a bad thermostat. Replaced it and it got up to temp just fine.
I only use Gates now after some cheap ones failed but didn't leak. Gates are very good. I have not had to replace one.
I had the same exact car with same exact problem. I changed the thermostat once and it fixed it for about a year. The issue came back and I changed again and it fixed it again... So I'd say get an OEM one if you can.
Apparently something about plastic parts which is wild for a thermostat anyways, also the cvts aren't a problem really just service and drain fill your fluid 30k miles.

Tenho um Peugeot 5008 II 2.0 BlueHDi de 2018. Troquei recentemente a caixa de água / termostato porque estava a verter líquido de refrigeração. A nova é da concorrência (não original Peugeot). Desde então reparei que a temperatura do motor, segundo a leitura via OBD e olhando para o quadrante, raramente chega aos 90ºC, anda quase sempre ali pelos 82–84ºC, mesmo em percursos mais longos. Antes da troca nunca tinha prestado atenção à temperatura, por isso não sei se é o comportamento normal do carro ou se o termostato novo não está a funcionar como deve. De acordo com a descrição da peça, o termostato abre aos 98ºC, e a marca é NRF.
I installed a Gates one a couple months back and it worked well for a little while; engine got up to operating temp fairly quickly and stayed there, but now it’s running really cold no matter how long or how hard I drive it. Think it’s stuck open.
had to change the thermostat because it stuck open (heat was not warm in -40* weather).
