555 is a Japanese brand that makes high quality replacement tie rods, if needed. Comparable or better quality than OEM. I have them on my Lexus GX470
Owner reviews for tie rods
I replaced the inner and outer tie rods on an '01 Toyota Echo with Delphi. Good quality parts that were easy to install.
That’s a Sankei 555. It’s original Toyota. They outsource their tie rods to Sankei. If you see 555 on a part, you are in good hands.
I used moog on my old car, worked great.
I went this moog and am pl very happy with them.
I also put Dorman premium tie rods all three way around on.
Well, years ago, I purchased a dui Mk. II Golf which had been slid sideways and kissed a curb or something. Anyway, I learned that cast iron will, indeed, bend. The lever arm on the spindle (where the tie rod attaches) had actually bent in the arc when it made rather swift contact with the curb.
I've used Moog "problem solver" ones. Lately Moog quality hasn't been what I remember.
My dad got some moog tie rods for his 2006 Ford F-150, stiffer than all hell, like it had sand or gravel instead of grease. Bought another, still rough but good enough after some play.
Even the “GM genuine” ACDelco on Amazon is fake as shit-20k miles out of a full set of tie rods- 20k wheel bearings- never again
