I bought Continental Extreme Contacts because they were a little cheaper and aren't supposed to wear as quickly as the Michelins, and the difference is tenfold.

Absolutely. You don’t always need the best of the best for the type of tire you want (Michelin PS4 for example) but you absolutely want a good brand.

Took the Duratrac off roads off at 20k and replaced with Michelin MS. They were so damn loud.

When I got my TRD Pro that came with the stock nittos I couldn’t stand the road noise, immediately swapped them out for K02s and it was a world of a difference, I haven’t run other popular tires but I would never recommend the nittos after my experience.
