OEM FORD Valve cover

I purchased aluminum valve covers because the plastic ones can warp and cause more leaks over time.

Pros: aluminum, prevent warping
Cons: plastic ones warp
Vehicle: Ford
Mileage: 165000 km

OEM Honda Valve cover

Looks like Honda 3.5 L v6 j series. Notorious for valve cover : pro tip when looking for possible locations of leaks always start on the top of car going down. Due to gravity everything leaking drips downward , anything under valve cover that looks questionable clean it up do the valve cover and reinspect next oil change.

Pros: start on top
Cons: leaks drip downward
Vehicle: Honda Accord

OEM Volkswagen Valve cover

It's really a great car overall..I used mine to drive the family around and still did autocross with it. Their are some areas like others have mentioned to get checked out.

The valve covers may leak and drip on the plastic water pump housing causing a leak. If that hasn't been upgraded to the metal one get that done. We went through two of the plastic ones under warranty. Other than that I had no issues with the car.

Pros: great car overall
Cons: valve covers may leak
Vehicle: Volkswagen

OEM BMW Valve cover

I\u2019m a BMW Master Tech. The N52 is not reliable. Myth spread around the internet. It\u2019s just more reliable than the engines BMW released around 2006. I do thank all of you N52 owners for all the money. So easy to work on and they leak oil every 50k from either the valve cover, ofhg, and/or oil pain.

Pros: easy to work on
Cons: not reliable, leaks oil
Mileage: 80467 km

OEM Mercedes Valve cover

as a huge Mercedes fan, NO THEY AREN'T RELIABLE! Shit breaks, there's miles upon miles of electric connections, and they like their maintenance. My cousin owns w210 as a daily, and it caught fire when oil from the valve cover seeped onto exhaust manifold.

Cons: Shit breaks, likes maintenance
