Air filter K&N or UGREEN
I’ve had the K&N washable engine and cabin filters in the car for about 10-15k miles now. No issues so far.
I worked at advanced auto for a bit and got a K&N filter for a discount. Didn't get it for performance but it works fine and they are reusable so saving money in the long term I think.
I've got a K&N filter in my '22 Sport 2.0T. No issues at the dealer, never even brought up.
Get one from K&N and wash it every 6 months, lasts for many years
I have and like the K&N filter that drops in the factory housing, i like that you can just clean it and put it back in. You won’t notice any difference power or fuel milage wise.
I had a 2014 Ford fusion with a 2.5l engine and put one in and I could definitely notice a difference. Plus it is a lifetime filter so you'd never have to replace it again. Only clean and refill with oil.
Very nice setup! I just installed the drop in K&N but too soon to see results. Although the placebo effect sure is nice at WOT but probably not as much as your CAI.
My intake parts showed up yesterday and today. Here they are installed: Under normal driving conditions you’d never notice it’s there. Not until you go WOT and get up above 3-3500rpm does the lovely VR gurgle kick in. Can’t tell a difference in power from the butt dyno but I also wasn’t going WOT on stock intake right before I swapped it. I may get skippy and run some data logs and see what the MAF is reading. I will also report back after some normal driving what the fuel consumption change is, if any.
Second, these things suck! Buy a Non-Oiled cold air intake instead. If this is a Planted ad, K&N even has one, I have it on my TRDOR. Third, I am a dealer parts guy as my career... And, yes, I Know better. And yet I STILL over oiled my K&N filter and killed an expensive Mass Air Flow sensor on my truck. So I will Never use an oiled filter again. Old technology, imho.
All the MAF stuff aside, I've never been a fan. I've seen people with diesel trucks running that have collapsed and sucked into the intake tube. Granted our trucks don't have turbos, but that alone makes me question their quality. Plus I fear a more "open" filter would allow more particles. I'll keep my stock pleated filter.
