Alternator Bosch or Denso
Just bought one better denso at the auto parts store last year, was a 20min install, btw need to remove the rf tire and plastic to easily access as well as the bottom plates. Imo nice solid car and needs a decent part.
Denso is the OE for Land Rover.
Denso for sure, will last as long as the original, I think 20 years was a good life. The no name and parts store brand ones almost always fail shortly after install
With alternators and starters, only get Denso new or remanufactured if you can. The part store remans are junk.
I had the original alternator go last summer (it was old). Mechanic replaced it, and then went thru 3 batteries over the course of the summer.
The alternator was the culprit. Replaced it with a Denso (Acura OEM) and the problem was solved. Aftermarket alternator was the source of the parasitic draw.
I have a 2005 Pilot and just did this a few months ago.
Denso. They are the OE manufacturer and those things last 20 years. They only offer a reman for your car, but it’s a good product.
I only install Denso alternators in my Japanese cars and never had an issue. Aftermarket alternators have a high failure rate. Denso is solid.
Upon retrieving the information to answer you correctly I discovered that my original alternator was a Bosch 140Amp/14Volt. My new alternator is an A-Premium 140Amp/12Volt.
I've replaced the alternator Bosch 0124615028 with an identical part number one. Then I replaced the F00M-145-435(or 385 depending on where you look) regulator on it with a AS-PL ARE0075P. Both regulates to the same voltage, 14.2V.
Denso only. New ones aren’t that much off Rockauto. Don’t get any parts store junk- you’ll be replacing it again
I went through five alternators last year on my personal car. All five had different separate failures and all failed within a total of four months combined.
