Alternator OEM Honda or Denso
the oem has been good for 5 years now
Denso and alternators from Toyota are the only ones we’ll use for this exact reason.
I have a 2001 Honda ST1100 and the bike is a beast. My alternator went out and I had to find a compatible model on ebay because they don't offer the OEM anymore.
Similar symptoms when my '05 factory alternator died. Get a jump then measure the voltage at the battery. If it's ~14VDC, the alternator is charging. If it is only ~12VDC replace the alternator.
Denso or nothing. You'll be doing this again in about 2 years if you chose poorly.
I went with Denso Reman for my choice. 2 years so far and no issue.
My auto shop is replacing the alternator on my 2013 Sienna for $657 with a DENSO part which is the only brand you should be using IMO.
I have a 2013 manual. I've had to put 3 or 4 alternators in mine. The last one literally lasted a year, luckily it was still under warranty, and I only had to pay for the labor to have it changed out.
denso manufacture rebuild. don't fall for the auto part store rebuilds, not worth it no matter what warranty
Denso only. New ones aren’t that much off Rockauto. Don’t get any parts store junk- you’ll be replacing it again
