Alternator OEM Toyota or Denso
Denso alternator was like $350 and it took us like 3 hours as total novices and that includes the 3 trips we ended up taking to NAPA.
Did my own alternator, Denso 300.00. Took about an hour.
I have a 96 that I purchased with 40,000 miles and am just shy of 300,000. Most reliable car I've ever owned. Biggest "issue" I've had was replacing the alternator besides normal maintenance.
My 09 Se Camry V6 currently has 452k km on it. The most reliable thing I have ever owned. The only issues I have had was with it was an alternator at 445k.
Alternators do like to go out on ISs. Burning smell and whining is the telltale signs of it going out.
Denso. Expensive but, my last one lasted 25 years lol.
DENSO remanufactured is solid.
Get Denso 2104148 that’s what I recently got. Works great!
Replaced mine with a denso from rockauto. Unfortunately, the battery light stays on even though the voltage readings are good and have been driving like this for almost a year now.
Im going to say OEM. I have a 2004 acura tsx, which is essentially an accord. I replaced my alternator with a denso remanufactured unit from rockauto. It worked, but the battery light stayed on. I bit the bullet and bought an OEM a year later just to turn the damn light off.
