Alternator OEM Toyota or Duralast
The Duralast one looks to have a lifetime warranty.
Owned a 4th gen 4runner for over 10 years. Boring to drive and look at, but it took a lot of abuse and never gave me any problems. It only had to be towed once due to the alternator going out on me 50 miles from home.
Been running a duralast in mine for about a year no problems.

The same thing happened to me. 2012 Toyota Camry LE. The car never asked for anything other than brakes and tires. At 120000 my alternator went out on the beginning of a vacation trip.
Duralast Gold = new manufacture. A new unit from China. Sometimes OK, but often crap.
The only good thing about buying a duralast is it'll be the last alternator that you have to *PAY* for. But it def will *NOT* be the last alternator you install in the truck. Lol
I’m having this same issue without the positive results. Brand new alternator battery is good. It does not drive! Turns itself off and says charging system malfunction.
Duralast 11120 (if that's what is on the invoice) doesn't have a lot of great reviews...
It was in fact a Duralast dud! One more example of a “new” alternator being broken out of the box.
