Antifreeze OEM BMW or OEM Honda
You want the very best you gotta go Honda blue.
Nothin better than that OEM Honda
I have looked at the additive packages on all Honda compatible coolants. Many other manufacturers (Toyota, Ford, Hyundai, Mazda, Subaru) have switched to similar coolants that are slightly worse than Honda coolant. Honda has the strictest requirements for their engines that they refused to give their engines to GM for Saturn cars after GM said they will require GM coolant. Here are my rankings:
1) Honda Type 2 (OEM) Coolant Best OEM coolant Has about the same Diethylene Glycol and anti corrosion and detergent additives
I’ve never ever seen OEM Honda coolant even remotely dirty, sludged or have insufficient protection even after 100k miles.
genuine BLUE BMW coolant (they released a GREEN BMW coolant around 2019 so remember to specify you want BLUE when ordering parts now). I dilute it 50/50 with distilled water (not tap water).
BMW blue only.
BMW only. Not saving yourself any money in the long run being cheap with this particular fluid. It isn\u2019t even that much more expensive than other brands.
OEM stuff from BMW.
Only use bmw brand it has special additives for the electric water pump
So you don't mix coolants. BMW coolant uses embedded teflon or something. Dump in the wrong coolant and you have to run (I kid you not) laundry detergent through the entire system several times, flush the shit out of it several times then replace every single rubber hose.
