Antifreeze OEM BMW or OEM Honda
Only the OEM bmw blue coolant. Don\u2019t use anything else.
BMW coolant; it\u2019s cheapish, certified, and you should need it again unless a leak issue.
The blue stuff is definitely better than the green from my experience. I use the overpriced bmw shit but I think you could probably use the cheap blue stuff just as well.
Don't buy BMW coolant it's overpriced just like everything else they sell. Blue coolant is preferred but the premixed green stuff isn't going to cause catastrophic meltdowns. My 97 328i has the green stuff and I've got no issues after 196k miles.
For Coolant OEM Honda the blue stuff is perfect it's almost like it's made for the car.
I always use the OEM coolant that I pay an arm and a leg for from the dealership. For a few dollars it’s not something I want to chance in vehicles (especially my E46) with such sensitive cooling systems.
The correct coolant is Honda longlife which is blue. Someone has already put \"all vehicle\" green stuff in it, which will keep it cool just fine but not provide as much corrosion protection over the long term. The factory Honda coolant is designed to run for 120,000 miles; this stuff is good for maybe 30-50k before it should be changed.
Mine went 11 years with not as much as a check and it came out perfectly the same as the new stuff going in.
I'd recommend genuine Honda coolant. Others tend to cause water pump to leak.
