Battery Deka or OEM Subaru
I use Deka sealed batteries so less offgassing messing up terminals.
Still going strong on OEM battery after 3yrs
I only use deka on my service rig. Usa made quality. Though listed at 540 CCA, MY Midtronics tester shows they output 650 - 750 CCA.. I easily get 7 years use in the field with these.
Deka batteries. I’ve turned wrenches for twenty years and they’re the only ones that still consistently test far above their rated capacity when new. I have one that’s 7 years old and just installed one in my other rig last year.
I’m in the UAE, where summers hit around 50°C. This Forester is my first car with auto start-stop, and I’m impressed that the battery lasted a solid 4 years. My 7.5 yr old Forester is still on the original battery. I did need a jump a couple weeks ago after sitting with the lights on for a half hour, which was weird, but it's been fine since
Battery died last month at 39,000 miles.
Our ‘17 Outback went through 4 batteries in the 7 years we owned it.
I bought a brand new '24 Outback Wilderness in August of 2023 and had to replace the battery within 18 months.
I’m on my third battery in my 2018
