Battery Exide or YUASA
I've got about 7 yrs on a yuasa wet battery for 79 flh. I've always had great luck with both harley and yuasa batteries.
Energizer or Yuasa are good quality from my experience. I’ve had an energizer for 5 years now still running and my last yuasa ran great till I drained it to zero doing stupid.
I had battery problems and got a YUASA and had no issue since so I think they’re a decent brand (highly recommended by people).
I run a Yuasa in my 114 Streetbob. Best battery on the market.
Second the Yuasa recommendation. Best battery I’ve had. Bought last one on Amazon. I like that the acid hasn’t been added yet so you know it’s fresh.
I fully trust Yuasa. They're just excellent quality.
Left one uncharged for a whole winter fired right up.
I have used exide battery+inverter for >10yrs and is still going good!
any experience and reviews on it?
However if you bought an Exide battery, 100% it's your issue: I have had three batteries replaced under warranty on my BMW until I said "basta" and bought a Yuasa out of pocket. The amount of weird issues those junky batteries caused was beyond belief.
The Exide extreme duty is showing signs of age, it's entirely possible I'll limp it through the next 4 weeks or so and it will get to next winter. It is a 4 litre NA diesel so start demands are pretty high when cold and with the glow plugs.
It 4 years old well past it's warranty period but frankly I'm a little disappointed with it, mainly as the battery is well over and above what the vehicle specifies, it gets regular two hour highway runs (twice a week) and very few short trips.
