Battery OPTIMA or Energizer
On my 2014 Leaf SV I put in an Optima Yellowtop and it lasted over 7 years.
I have a 10 year old yellow top Optima (not even the nicest thing out there) that starts a 440 (often 9 months between starts) every time. I haven't even put a tender on it in the last 5 years.
Optima yellow top. It's around $300 ish. The last one was replaced after a decade. The new one I have will probably be the last one.
Yellow top , my recommendation ; I do carry multiple lights on the taco .size 35
I ran a yellow top Optima in my Civic from 2009 up till this year. A hell of a run!
Optima seems to be the only brand of cylindrical Pb batteries for automotive use... pretty much every other automotive Pb battery is prismatic.
That's the first I've seen one fail this way.
Mind you this throttle body is brand new.
This is the worst battery i tried, Enegizer lasted less than a year, maybe around 6 months only and it started dying.
One day my alternator went and killed the optima battery
DO NOT buy a red top Optima. They haven't been good or worth the price in like 15 yrs.
