I know some people love to shit on Optima but my yellow top is still kickin at 10 years old. Been run to the ground a couple of times over the years and the slow charger brings it right back.
I run yellowtops in my car and truck and the truck is going on 5 years now and still kicking.
I have have good luck bringing sulfated Optimas to my local Interstate Battery. They’ve brought several back from the dead for me and they went on to last a very long time.
I got a red top optima, put the subaru battery blanket on it. Good down to -10f.
Optima Red Top has been treating me well.
I like AGM batteries. Using optimas now, whenever these finally die I'll try another brand. 4 years in now and I can't notice any loss of capacity yet. They work amazing when it is like 0 degrees F, too.
I always liked Optimas, but I bought mine 2-4 years ago. I heard the quality has gone down but haven’t checked myself.
I personally don't care for optima.
I killed two of those, never buying again.
I have definitely experienced said quality issues on multiple Optima batteries. They all lasted about a year for me.
